Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Translator fluent in French and English to specialize in economic and financial translations. The ideal candidate will translate complex documents for international organizations, ensuring precision, stylistic consistency, and adherence to industry terminology.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate and proofread high-stakes economic/financial texts (e.g., IMF-style reports, policy documents) from English to French.


• Revise and post-edit machine-generated translations for accuracy and fluency.


• Research and maintain glossaries of specialized terminology using CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ).


• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to clarify ambiguities in source texts.


• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards for sensitive content.

Qualifications

• Education: Advanced degree in Translation, Economics, Linguistics, or related field.


• Experience: 1-2 years translating for international organizations (e.g., IMF, World Bank, NGOs).


• Languages: Native-level fluency in French and English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.


• Technical Skills:




• Proficiency in CAT tools (Trados, MemoQ) and Microsoft Office.


• Familiarity with neural machine translation (NMT) post-editing.




• Soft Skills:




• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
