DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), is responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing as part of a larger medical team. Their duties include checking vital signs, recording a patient’s medical history, and assisting patients with hygiene.
Required Experience:
•Required 1-year healthcare experience
•History of exceptional performance as a dependable team member and co-worker in this field
Required Qualification:
•Current and valid Oregon Certification Nursing Assistant
Practicing with a minimum experience of 1 year.
Responsibilities:
•Current CPR certificate upon hire and maintained preferred
•Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information.
• Provide patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials, transporting patients, answering patients’ call lights and requests, and reporting observations of the patient to the nursing supervisor.
•Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
•Protects the organization’s values by keeping patient information confidential.
•Serves and protects the community by adhering to professional standards, facilities policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and standards.
•Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining certification.
•Explaining procedures and treatment protocols to residents•Provide compassionate care to residents' and families.
•Create a collaborative team environment while providing care.•Flexibility to work schedule, weekends, and holidays.
•Excellent verbal and written skills.
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with data entry.
•Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., stand for long periods, and work both indoors and outdoors.
